Re: Swipe bar doesn't work correctly in Opera
Thanks for the report, C0RteZ48. It's always nice to see a new face around the Forum. :) What you're reporting is definitely a bug, but it's a bug that I cannot seem to reproduce in Opera. I've opened up some Oblivion character profiles where the Oblivion-style scrollbar (aka swipe bar) was present,...

Happy New Year to all of our members here at The Elder Stats! 2013 has finally come, and what better way to kick off the new year than with a brand new feature — character Journals ! We listened to your opinions in the poll and discussion thread regarding this new feature, and we worked to build the...

Re: [New Idea] Character Travel Log/Journal
Well, we could, but then it goes back to the problem of what actually constitutes a spoiler, and how will authors of journal entries figure that out? In theory, you could be justified in placing an entire entry in spoiler tags if you could imagine someone who just started playing the game coming by ...

Re: [New Idea] Character Travel Log/Journal
That's a good point, Alarra, so I think letting the system do the work with regard to dates should suffice. I think this would be an absolutely wonderful idea! The only problem is, what about spoilers? I suppose the best thing to do is to depend on readers to be vigilant of any context clues in the ...

Re: Recruiting
Thanks for your help! And yes, the UESP is the primary source of referral traffic to our site, mostly through links and Stat Cards posted in users' signatures on the UESP forums. Although we get the majority of our traffic from the UESP's forums users, we have no official affiliation with or endorse...

Re: [New Idea] Character Travel Log/Journal
Thanks for the thoughtful feedback! I'll respond to a few of your suggestions below. The user could add their own title; they could put a topic, the date, whatever they want. These names would then show up with a list, maybe with "Date Added". That sounds good. Now, I was wondering how the...

[New Idea] Character Travel Log/Journal
We have been considering an idea for a new feature for both Skyrim and Oblivion character profiles: Travel logs/journals for each character. With these journals, you would be able to keep a running diary of sorts for each of your characters on The Elder Stats, posting entries in it whenever you'd li...

Re: Recruiting
I'll see what I can do, but some ideas would help. Don't know if UESP has already pitched in or not... We're not affiliated in any with the UESP, and when we contacted them over a year ago to look into a partnership of some sort between our two websites, they politely implied that they had no inter...

Re: Recruiting
Thanks for the feedback, Adriel90. I'll respond to a few of your points below. As for recruiting, is it possible to make an ad via facebook and target to to gamers? I have considered this a few times in the past, but the problem is that the site makes very little revenue from the Google advertisemen...
