Re: Coming Soon: Upload a save file to autofill profile stats!
The Windows client (which will automatically detect new game saves and update the character on elderstats.com) is very near a beta release. Since it is a beta release, some features will not be present, and some bugs may not be entirely worked out. However, this beta will be mostly functional, and w...

Re: OMG Talk About Lame!
Ah that's a shame. Are you sure you can't recover the data from the old hard drive? I've been told that TestDisk is a really useful program for recovering data from corrupted drives, so it might be worth looking into.
In any case, sorry to hear about your lost data.

Re: Coding On Screen?
Thanks so much for bringing this to my attention! I was making some changes to the site last week and must have mistakenly left in an accidental code change that I meant to remove. This problem has now been fixed.
My apologies for the inconvenience.

Re: Coming Soon: Upload a save file to autofill profile stats!
Back with another update! Unfortunately August isn't looking like it's going to come to fruition (been pretty busy with work and other things). However, I'm getting close to a working beta version. Hoping to have it available for download soon.

Re: Welcomes and Goodbyes
Oh my god, I've been gone for so long... I am incredibly happy the site is still up and running; I loved this place when I was active. I hope that with the release of the Remaster the forums will pick up again - it's nice to be back. :) Welcome back! The forums are barren as usual, but as long as p...

Re: Coming Soon: Upload a save file to autofill profile stats!
An update on this feature: I'm currently developing a Windows desktop application that can be downloaded and run in the background. It will monitor save files in the directories you choose, and update your characters on this website with the latest save file data when you create a new save. Developm...

Re: what is total gold?
These stats are taken right from the game. Total Gold is the amount of gold you have on you right now, while Gold Found is the sum of all the gold you have found throughout your time in the game.

Re: Coming Soon: Upload a save file to autofill profile stats!
This is still going to happen, probably sometime this summer. Extracting the data from the save file is a bit complicated and I haven't had time to look into it recently, but my goal is to get at least a basic version of this feature launched this summer! As for a Fallout version of this website, th...

Re: Character data now available in JSON and XML via the new CDS
That's correct! Your character's ID is displayed in the URL for your character's profile.
