Escapist Magazine: Best Game Developer

Yeah there's a "Best Game Developer" contest on the Escapist Magazine website.

Valve, our favorite developer (Oblivion is nice but Half-Life 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Team Fortress 2 and Portal are godly) has reached the semi-finals and needs to beat Zynga, creator of casual games like Farmville (on Facebook).

Unfortunately, the contest is unfair:
- The people at the 4chan website have decided to ruin the poll by encouraging visitors to vote for Zynga (even though they don't care about the result and have nothing against Valve). By doing this they want to show that internet polls are useless.
- You can vote by using your Facebook account... and Zynga makes games for Facebook. Not so hard to see a connection, huh?
- I personally don't think that Zynga is a 'real' gamedeveloper. They're the only casual game developer that was nominated for the contest.

So Valve is losing, Valve fans are crying...

It's a shame because I would've loved to see Valve as the winner. I hate casual games  But it's just an internet poll...

Yeah, I heard about this. It's a shame Valve isn't winning, but I don't know why they are even against Zynga in the first place. They don't even relate.

Wow, Valve just proved that they can beat adversity like that.

Valve is just plain amazing anymore.

Indeed.

The farms can't stop Zombies. Left 4 Dead has farms too. X, you've seen the farm house campaign.
