Fallout 3 vs. Oblivion

Postby Royalruiner1 » May 30th, 2011, 10:40 pm

Both Oblivion and Fallout are great games. And I ask friends which two are better. And I normally have someone saying that Oblivion is better, and I'd have to agree. Fallout 3 does have a good story line and all. But, is the shadow of Oblivion. After you finish the game you get bored even if you do have DLCs. I would say Point Lookout is a great DLC with a new map. But, the point is that Fallout 3 is an RPG that has it's pros and cons. Less pros than Oblivion.

Simply because I haven't played Fallout 3, I don't think my opinion is worth much on the matter, but since you are seeking it I may as well state that I find the realm and setting of Oblivion much more entertaining and interesting than that of Fallout. I'm a die-hard TES fan, and hold it above nearly every series of which I know and love.

I agree that Oblivion is a better game than Fallout 3.

I can't really decide...

I guess Oblivion. Both games are outstanding though. I chose Oblivion though because it wasn't hit by a nuke making for nice scenery, and also because you can still play after beating the main quest line.

I wouldn't call either of them linear though. Both games are specifically meant not to be linear.
