With the release of Elder Stats 1.0.1, the profile commenting system has been updated and some important changes have been made to benefit character authors. Before the release of Elder Stats 1.0.1, authors of characters had no way of checking if new comments had been posted to any of their characters' profiles. If character authors wanted to see if new comments had been posted for any of their characters, they would have to randomly check the Comments section of each of their characters' profiles every-so-often. Since this was obviously a fairly annoying procedure, the profile commenting system has been changed to make it easier for character authors to check for new comments that have been posted for their characters.

First off, if any new comments have been posted for any of your characters, you can check that by looking at the "Your Characters' Comments" link on the menu bar at the top of the website. Next to that link is the number of new comments that have been posted for all of your characters. If you click that link, it will bring you to a panel in the UCP called the "Comment History" panel. This panel lists all of the comments that have ever been made for any of your characters with links to each of those comments provided. Any comments that are new (comments that you have not yet read) will be listed with a yellow background color. This makes it easier to tell when you have new comments, and it allows you to easily go to those new comments to read them.

Secondly, if you are browsing through one of your character's Comments pages in their profile, any comments that have been made that you have not yet read are listed with an orange post image at the top of the comment. Once you view that comment, then the post image is set back to the default white post image to signify that you have read that comment.

With these new updates to the profile commenting system, it makes it that much easier for you to view all of the newest comments made to your characters, and it makes The Elder Stats just that much better of a website for Oblivion players.
