An Overall Stats Page

I've already begun preparing to develop a new page on The Elder Stats that will list some overall stats. First, I plan to have it list the top character for almost every numeric statistic available. That would be on that page. Second, I plan to have a list of "totals" for The Elder Stats. An example of this would be "Total Gold", and then the total amount of gold for each character on The Elder Stats would be calculated and placed there. Xavier was the one who suggested this to me, and I immediately thought that it was a good idea.

Also, members who wish to not have their characters included in the leaderboards and on this new overall stat page have the choice to either allow their character to show in the leaders or not. Simply go to the UCP, then click "Modify" next to a character that you want to hide on the leaderboards, and then you will see a field labeled "Show This Character in Leaderboards" - set that to No and update it. Doing this for every character of yours that you don't want to be shown in the leaderboards will allow members who want to keep certain characters private to do so. This is a new feature that was a long time in coming, but is finally here. It gives members more privacy with their characters, especially if they do not wish to have one of their characters judged by the overall standards of the leaderboard.

Anyway, please give me any feedback that you have on the new upcoming overall stats page, and let me know if it's a good or bad idea and if anything should be added or changed. I plan to start developing this overall stats page either late tomorrow night (Thursday) or during Friday, so there is plenty of time to voice your suggestions about this new feature.

I'd rather have an overall average.
IE, average of all the characters' gold, stats, 'n such.
Although, an overall stat page can accompany it.

Or we could have both. Unless that's too much work to do for Tom.

I was actually thinking of having both, too. It wouldn't be too much more work. Making a stat page like this is time-consuming, yet easy development wise. I'd rather make it better than release it with something missing.

will you consider people that have not used mods, because I think exploiting glitches is okay but when it comes to certain mods people will have a greater advantage over others and it will show in their stats :(

On the overall stats page, there will be two sections for the top character for each stat. One section will show the top characters in each stat that have not used exploit and have not used mods. The other section will be for the top characters that have used either exploits, mods, or both. That should make it fair.

Does this include non-character mods? I don't use any mods for my character that change the stats, just the game, i.e. castles, houses, etc. The only character mod I use is one that keeps your face from looking vampire when you are a vampire - it doesn't change anything else. (I think vampires faces are ugly in the game).

I listed my character as using mods, but they do nothing for the character - should I change my profile, or do things like houses count?

The only way I would see that houses count is for your total houses owned stat. But if it doesn't affect any kind of stat at all, then I think your fine.
